Clerk to Governing Board

Hours: On average 40 hours per term, with additional hours as and when required
Grade: £25.00 per hour

We are looking to appoint a Clerk to the Local Governing Board. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chair of Governors and other colleagues to provide a first-class clerking service to ensure the efficient functioning of the governing board and its committees.
As clerk to the governing board, your main duties will include:
- Providing independent and expert advice to the governing board on its duties and functions.
- Preparing for and administrating meetings, allowing the governors to make effective use of their time and focus on strategic matters.
- Advise governors on effective governing board membership considering skills, experience, qualities and capacity.
- Maintaining records of policies and procedural documents and ensure these are accessible to all.
- Manage information effectively in accordance with legal requirements observing confidentiality where necessary.
