Headteacher's Welcome
Welcome to Bishop Thomas Grant School
I am delighted to welcome you to the Bishop Thomas Grant School website, which has been designed to ensure it provides the essential information for all our current and future stakeholders and to capture the real essence of our distinctive school. As you browse through this website I hope that you will begin to discover the diversity of the Bishop Thomas Grant School Community, which is blessed with experienced and talented staff; a supportive Governing Body; a strong community network of parents, parishes and primary schools; and a wonderful student body.
At Bishop Thomas Grant, we have a long standing tradition of being a fully inclusive Catholic school. We expect all our students to make exceptional academic progress and to be fully supported in their individual journeys of faith. We inculcate in our students the importance of hard work, good manners, smart appearance, courtesy, co-operation and service to others at all times. We ensure a curriculum fit for the 21st Century that is personalised to meet and challenge the needs of individual students.
We are a school with traditional values and high aspirations. At Bishop Thomas Grant School, we expect and encourage each student to fulfil their potential, and we enable them to continue to grow in their faith and mature into fine young people. In this ever-changing world, the school continues to evolve and adapt, ensuring that our students develop the skills required to move on to higher education and employment, and to confidently take their place in society.
We continue to set challenging targets to make certain that the school builds on its current academic success. This, along with our enrichment programme and extra-curricular activities, serves to ensure that our students receive a broad and balanced education and are able to succeed in life as confident, resilient and well-rounded individuals.
Our school motto ‘To unite all things in Christ’ enables our young people to become responsible Christian adults rooted in Gospel values who promote justice, honesty, and charity, in all aspects of their lives.
We hope that you will enjoy exploring our website.
