Senior Prefects
Year 12 Leadership
In the Sixth Form students have the opportunity to be part of a team of Senior Prefects. They have to apply for the position and work with members of the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the smooth operation of the school. Prefects are the school’s role models, the Senior Prefects are their leaders and set the standard. If you are a student with an excellent record of behaviour, attendance, punctuality and uniform, who has demonstrated a commitment to the values and ethos of our school, then you are a suitable candidate. Further information on the sixth form prefect team can be requested from the Head of Year 12.
Year 13 Leadership
At the end of Year 12 students are invited to apply for a position on the Head Prefect team. Bishop Thomas Grant School have a Head Prefect team which includes one Head Girl, one Head Boy, one Deputy Head Girl and one Deputy Head boy. The successful applicants work with the Headteacher and the Senior Leadership Team to represent the school fully both in its ethos and as a BTG family. Prefects are the school’s role models and the Head Team are their role models and leaders. Students with an excellent record of behaviour, attendance, punctuality, and uniform, who have demonstrated a commitment to the school are welcome to apply for a position. A summary of the main responsibilities and tasks are: Representing the school at certain events (including making speeches), managing the prefects, showing visitors around, meeting with school council and reporting to Governors.
