Why do we need routines while we are working at home? Some Advice from Wellbeing Coordinator Mr Newell
Through no fault of our own, our routines have been completely cancelled for the foreseeable future. The danger here is that you can become unsettled because of you lost some of the structure that supports our life (school, family, friends and Church). In these uncertain times you need to create a routine that helps you to survive and maybe even thrive. Planning and structuring your time will help you to make the most of the time at home. You can see it has an opportunity to develop your independent learning skills.

Five reasons to plan a daily routine

•    It will reduce your levels of anxiety, as you will be able take control over this area of your life and create structure to each day.
•    It will help you to learn and maintain good habits for learning and life. Planning, and organisational skills, IT skills, communication, and many more.
•    It will help you to manage your time and set goals that you will achieve because you have used time effectively. You will be able to submit your work on time. It will stop you becoming a couch potato.
•    It provides you with an opportunity to demonstrate your maturity.
•    It will maximise your downtime.  You can set your own times to catch up with your friends on social media and still have time to complete the Joe Wicks PE lesson each day.
