Remembrance Day at Bishop Thomas Grant School

At this time of year, we remember both the fallen soldiers of war, and also those members of our families that we have loved and lost. The staff and students of Bishop Thomas Grant School are invited each year to submit names of the loved ones that they have lost, and as an act of remembrance write their name on a candle. These are displayed next to the altar in the Chapel as shown in the picture above. Due to current COVID restrictions our remembrance mass and two minute silence were live streamed this year. 
Our thanks to the Head Boy and Girl and the English Department for organising and leading the minutes silence, and to the Chaplaincy Team for organising the Remembrance mass. 

The Poppy challenge asked students to design their own poppy or poster for Remembrance Day, these have been used to create a display outside our House boards. So far from the Poppy competition we have raised - £49.87 and donations are still coming in!
