A Notice About Wellbeing And Safety From Ms Murray And Mr Newell

Dear Parents and Carers,

Mr Newell and I will be delivering themes on a weekly basis relating to wellbeing and safety during the Lockdown.
The work will cover a range of issues that may affect the students as they negotiate their way through the difficult challenges of this Lockdown. The topics range from mental health, online safety, to mindfulness and reducing anxiety to name a few.

This message was sent to the students over the holidays but it still remains firmly in place during term time.

What should you do if you are worried in any way about your safety?
  • If it is an emergency call 999
  • Do not be scared, speak to someone and they will support you. It really helps to talk.
  • Contact the school safeguarding team via email at Safeguarding@btg-secondary.lambeth.sch.uk if you need advice or support on something that is not an emergency.
  • Talk or email someone such as your head of year, your form tutor, a teacher, a parent, a member of your family, a trusted friend or mentor.
  • There are also confidential helplines such as Childline (0800 1111) and the NSPCC (0808 800 5000) which are free to use.
